About The Position

This is where solid HVAC careers get built. As an HVAC Service Technician Apprentice at MTech Mechanical, you’ll work alongside experienced Journeyman technicians while learning how to diagnose, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC/R systems. This role is designed for motivated individuals who want hands-on experience, structured learning, and a clear path to becoming a Journeyman HVAC Service Technician.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
0–4 years of HVAC or related mechanical experience
Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take feedback like a pro
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Ability to meet MTech’s driving standards
Comfortable working on-call rotation as skills progress
Interest in growing toward Journeyman licensure (F29/F31 or equivalent)

Nice To Haves

HVAC/R certificate, trade school, or enrolled in an apprenticeship program preferred

Responsibilities

Assist with troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of commercial HVAC/R systems
Learn to service systems up to 100 tons cooling capacity and large commercial heating equipment
Support preventative maintenance, seasonal startups, and system inspections
Read and interpret basic drawings, schematics, and manufacturer documentation
Learn proper documentation using MSI & Keystyle at the job site
Follow safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company procedures
Maintain tools, equipment, and company-provided vehicles responsibly
Communicate professionally with customers and internal team members
Participate in ongoing training, certifications, and skills development
Regular and predictable attendance is expected in order to meet the requirements of this position
