About The Position

This position will report to H. B. McClure Company, LLC, a subsidiary of HB Global. Launch your HVAC career with a company that's invested in your success. HB McClure is looking for motivated individuals who want to build a long-term career in commercial HVAC service. As an HVAC Service Apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced technicians while participating in our structured Technical Development Program, giving you the hands-on experience and classroom training needed to grow into a skilled HVAC Service Technician. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • English language skills - both verbal and written
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and good time management.
  • Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background, physical and drug screenings.
  • Must provide your own basic hand tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Trade school, vocational training, or previous HVAC or mechanical experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist experienced HVAC Service Technicians with maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment replacements on commercial HVAC systems.
  • Learn to diagnose and repair heating, cooling, ventilation, and environmental control systems.
  • Gain hands-on experience working with piping, electrical components, controls, and refrigeration systems.
  • Participate in our Technical Development Program (TDP) and complete all required coursework and training.
  • Learn to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment documentation.
  • Complete service documentation using tablets and mobile technology.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining a safe and professional work environment.
  • Follow OSHA safety standards and company safety procedures on every jobsite.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
