Requirements

7–10 years of experience in commercial/industrial HVAC service.
Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, and mechanical equipment.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Familiarity with estimating tools, service software, and mechanical service workflows.

Nice To Haves

Experience supervising technicians or leading field operations preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily manpower assignments for HVAC service technicians.
Coordinate and manage technician scheduling to ensure timely response to service calls.
Assist dispatch with prioritizing workload and ensuring efficient workflow across the service department.
Serve as the primary technical resource for HVAC service technicians.
Provide guidance on troubleshooting, repair strategies, and best practices.
Address complex technical questions in real time to support successful field execution.
Evaluate service reports and diagnostics to prepare accurate quotes for repairs.
Estimate labor, materials, and equipment required for repair work.
Collaborate with vendors to obtain pricing and maintain cost accuracy.
Ensure quotes support profitability while meeting customer expectations.
Act as a direct point of contact for customers regarding service inquiries, urgent issues, and repair decisions.
Respond quickly to immediate customer needs, ensuring clear communication and timely solutions.
Work closely with dispatch and technicians to adjust manpower or schedules when urgent customer issues arise.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professionalism, responsiveness, and dependable service delivery.
Work closely with dispatch, project managers, and service coordinators to maintain alignment on daily operations.
Communicate consistently with customers and internal teams to ensure clarity and satisfaction throughout the service process.
Support planning for larger service projects and recurring maintenance programs.
Maintain records of estimates, quoted repairs, service activities, and technician assignments.
Provide regular updates on service workload, quoting backlog, and departmental needs.
