About The Position

Bellows Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical is growing, and we are looking for an experienced HVAC Service Manager to lead our South Bay operations. Bellows services customers throughout the entire San Francisco Bay Area. This position supports our South Bay operations and serves Santa Cruz, Monterey, Santa Clara, and San Mateo counties. We are headquartered in Santa Cruz. This is a key leadership role within our company. We are looking for someone who can motivate, train, and lead a team of HVAC technicians while driving performance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. As our company continues to grow, we are seeking a strong leader with a proven track record in HVAC service management. The right person will be proactive, results-driven, and capable of managing both people and performance in a fast-paced environment. Position Overview The HVAC Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our residential and light commercial HVAC service team, including service, repair, and replacement work. This role focuses on leading technicians, driving service and sales performance, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. This position requires strong leadership, operational awareness, and the ability to evaluate and improve team performance.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of HVAC service management experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of residential and light commercial HVAC systems
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing technicians
  • Strong understanding of flat rate pricing systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Highly organized with strong problem-solving ability
  • Proficient with Service Titan, Microsoft Office, and mobile technology
  • Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and support HVAC service technicians in the field
  • Hire, train, coach, and develop team members to improve performance and skillsets
  • Conduct team meetings and performance evaluations
  • Drive service and sales performance to meet or exceed company goals
  • Provide sales support including onsite estimates and bid assistance
  • Assist with dispatching to ensure proper technician assignment
  • Monitor schedules, productivity, and team efficiency
  • Resolve customer concerns and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Analyze performance and adjust strategies to meet business objectives
  • Utilize Service Titan and other tools to manage operations and reporting
  • Support daily operational and administrative functions
