About The Position

We're a family-owned home service company in Mohave County — HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical — with 35 years of history and the kind of reputation that took decades to build. We're hiring an HVAC Service Manager to lead our largest department. HVAC service is the front door to a meaningful portion of this company's revenue. The team you'd be leading is generating service revenue daily, and the conversations they're having in customers' homes are what feed our install pipeline. The role matters, the seat is real, and the impact is direct.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years in an HVAC service management role, or a comparable leadership role in another trade.
  • Ability to build and develop people, not just supervise them.
  • Clear understanding of how service drives larger work, including lead generation and trust-building.
  • Ability to read and interpret numbers, understanding what drives them.
  • Comfortable with technology, including field service management systems, HR platforms, internal communication tools, reports, and dashboards.
  • Direct and warm communication style, capable of having difficult conversations professionally.
  • Readiness to relocate to Mohave County for an on-site role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of HVAC service technicians through ride-alongs and structured 1:1s to ensure high performance technically, in customer interactions, and in their ability to have honest conversations about home needs.
  • Own the service-to-install pipeline by coaching the team on identifying aged systems and having the right conversations, and managing the lead handoff from the service side.
  • Drive departmental KPIs, understand the numbers, present them in leadership meetings, and lead the team toward them daily.
  • Manage the daily, weekly, and monthly operational rhythm of the role using an existing operational system.
  • Handle customer escalations, addressing complaints professionally and protecting the company's reputation.
  • Drive performance of the maintenance membership program by coaching the team on enrollment and owning the conversion for HVAC.
  • Partner with the Operations Manager, Install Manager, Call Center, Dispatch, Warehouse, and ownership team, acting as a central point for cross-functional work.
  • Participate in hiring decisions for the department and own the development of reporting technicians.
