About The Position

Steve Basso Plumbing, Heating & A/C is seeking a full-time HVAC Service Manager in Stratford, CT to lead HVAC and plumbing operations, mentor professionals, and drive results. This role involves leading a team of HVAC technicians, plumbing technicians, customer service representatives, and dispatchers, ensuring smooth and efficient department operations. Key responsibilities include coordinating scheduling and dispatch, overseeing budgets, monitoring inventory, managing vehicle maintenance, serving as the primary point of contact for customer concerns, providing technical guidance, assisting with troubleshooting, staying updated on industry technologies and code requirements, identifying growth opportunities, generating sales leads, supporting estimates, and ensuring compliance with OSHA safety standards and environmental regulations. The manager will also focus on creating a productive and positive workplace culture.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of HVAC experience
  • Current CT HVAC License
  • Solid understanding of HVAC systems, repair, and maintenance
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to recruit, motivate, and mentor diverse teams
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Skills in budgeting, sales, and performance metrics
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and foster a positive work environment
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
