About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented HVAC Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth. This is a critical role where you will be responsible for setting the pace, upholding ethical standards, and improving the performance of the sales team. You will report to the Director of Operations and play a key part in maintaining our position as the largest and most respected residential sales and HVAC installation company in the Portland Metro area. We are looking for a leader who is hands-on, metrics-driven, high-integrity, and a coach-first mentality, who can inspire personal and professional growth in team members and provide unparalleled customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Strong selling skills (experience in transactional selling, in-home sales, or direct to homeowner/consumer sales is a plus).

  • Ability to drive team performance to achieve all business goals and objectives.
  • Detail oriented and a highly organized multi-tasker with good presentation skills.

  • Proficient using a computer and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales goals for the HVAC sales team.
  • Build trust with sales, install, service, and operations teams.
  • Learn and perform the sales operating system (cadence, pipeline discipline, KPI visibility).
  • Improve follow-up speed and consistency (pending quotes, financing, invoicing).
  • Identify coaching needs per individual and execute weekly development plans.
  • Keep the production board full through seasonal shifts.
  • Leverage strong process to improve close rate and average ticket without sacrificing ethics.
  • Improve gross margin through job-costing feedback loops and team behavior changes.
  • Develop future sales leaders within the sales team.
  • Inspect what you expect and coach behavior, not just outcomes.
  • Lead teams through chaos, tough months, and staffing gaps.
  • Protect customers and the brand even when it costs you in the short term.
  • Develop talent, have hard conversations, and keep standards high without creating unnecessary fear.
  • Jump in and be a player-coach.
