About The Position

Freedom Power is a leading whole-house energy provider, combining expertise in solar, battery storage, HVAC, generators, and innovative Power Plans. As part of our expansion into high-efficiency HVAC systems, particularly heat pumps, we are seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician. This role is crucial in our mission to provide sustainable, energy-efficient solutions to homeowners. You will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and maintaining residential high-efficiency HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency. Requirements

  • EPA Certification
  • Strong understanding of HVAC electrical and refrigerant systems for high-efficiency units.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail for high-efficiency equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience with smart home energy management systems related to high-efficiency HVAC
  • Ability to lift 75+ pounds

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including heat pump systems, in residential properties.
  • Perform system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and efficiency assessments on high-efficiency HVAC systems.
  • Work with customers to educate them on system operation and energy savings related to high-efficiency HVAC.
  • Ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and safety standards for all HVAC installations and services.
  • Maintain detailed service records and reports for all HVAC work.
  • Keep detailed records of customer calls and service visits.
  • Maintain professional rapport with customers and be respectful of their homes and property.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners on the job site.
  • Communicate professionally with FSP office staff.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support for high-efficiency HVAC systems.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the HVAC division, with opportunities to take on leadership and strategic planning responsibilities.
