About The Position

The HVAC Refrigeration Technician is responsible for maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. The technician ensures that HVACR systems are functioning optimally, efficiently, and safely, providing comfortable indoor environments and preserving food products at Hard Rock Stadium. This is a full-time position based on site at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an HVAC training program or apprenticeship
• EPA Section 608 Certification (required)
• 5+ years of experience in HVAC/refrigeration, maintenance, and repair
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems as they relate to HVACR
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and hand tools effectively
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Physical ability to perform tasks that involve lifting, standing, and working in confined spaces

• Additional certifications (NATE, HVAC Excellence)

Responsibilities

• Perform regular preventive maintenance on HVACR systems to ensure optimal performance
• Inspect and test system components, including electrical connections, motors, and compressors
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in HVACR systems
• Repair or replace defective components, such as thermostats, compressors, and fan motors
• Perform emergency repairs when necessary
• Recommend and implement system upgrades to improve energy efficiency and performance
• Stay updated on the latest HVACR technologies and advancements
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work
• Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations
• Complete work orders and service reports
• Communicate effectively with stadium departments to explain system issues and recommended solutions
• Ensure customer satisfaction through professional and courteous service
