About The Position

Tessera is seeking an organized and experienced HVAC Refrigeration Technician with a positive attitude. This role involves repairing, overhauling, maintaining, and servicing HVAC equipment and control systems. The technician will also replace electrical components, work from blueprints and instructions, and perform occasional painting. Availability for after-hours dispatch and on-call rotation is required, as is maintaining EPA, Navy, and CFSI refrigeration documentation. The role also includes direct communication with customers and supervisors, responding to inquiries and complaints, and ensuring completed work meets quality control standards. Maintaining professionalism, appearance, and demeanor, and adhering to all safety procedures and policies are essential. Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of utility maintenance experience required.
  • Refrigeration transition and recovery technician certification.
  • Type III (Universal), DDC, and pneumatic control experience.
  • A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
  • Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ID.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
  • A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • EL-06A license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Repair, overhaul, maintain, and service HVAC equipment and control systems.
  • Replace electrical receptacles, wires, switches, motors, etc.
  • Work from blueprints, drawings, models, and/or verbal, written instructions.
  • Perform occasional painting and touch up of structures and equipment.
  • Be available for after-hours dispatch and on-call rotation.
  • Maintain EPA, Navy, and CFSI refrigeration documentation.
  • Communicate and interact directly with the customer and supervisors; informing the customer of unexpected or additional repairs and determining customer needs.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints.
  • Ensure completed work meets quality control standards.
  • Maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor.
  • Follow all Safety Procedures and Policies.
