About The Position

The Division of Administration/Office of State Buildings has a vacancy for an HVAC/Refrigeration Mechanic. This position provides skilled installation, maintenance, and repair on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration units in large office buildings, hospitals, and multi-building complexes. The Office of State Buildings is responsible for the operations and maintenance of about 41 State buildings. The Division of Administration is the state government’s management arm and the hub of its financial operations, overseeing various activities including capital construction, grants, budget development, technology services, purchasing, and contracting. Requirements

• Two years of experience or training in the installation and/or maintenance of heating, ventilating, or air conditioning systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled installation, maintenance, and repair on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration units in large office buildings, hospitals, and multi-building complexes.
• Perform preventive maintenance duties on air handling units, motors, exhaust fans, fan coil units, DX (Direct Expanse) units, PTAC (Package Terminal Air Conditioner) units, window units, RTU (Roof Top Units), cooling towers, and generators, totaling over 500 units.
• Repair and maintain heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment in buildings or complexes requiring total HVAC capacity of 20 tons or more.
• Perform other duties assigned by Foreman and above.
