Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Course work at an accredited vocational technical or trade school.
1 - 2 years' experience in commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical required.
Must have passed Tech Skills level 2 with an 80% or better.
Valid driver’s license.
Must have a valid EPA certificate.
Basic knowledge of refrigeration, HVAC, ice machines, gas furnaces, and electrical.
Ability to install cases.
Ability to troubleshoot.
Good mechanical skills.
Good communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with customers and management.
Ability to take direction from Sr. Specialist or Supervisor.
Must have a good driving record and be able to work independently.
Ability to understand and follow all company policies and procedures and all applicable State and Federal laws.
Ability to use typical business tools including E-Mail, Word, Excel, etc.

Responsibilities

Assisting in the repair and overhaul of equipment, refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment to ensure customer needs are met efficiently, accurately, and on time.
Repairs and overhauls equipment, such as compressors, water pumps, air handlers, electrical and mechanical control devices.
Provides general repair work on refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment, such as air conditioning units, evaporative condensers, ice machine equipment, water pumps, gas furnaces, compressors, and electric motors.
Performs preventative maintenance activities by diagnosing equipment malfunction and operating deficiencies.
Processes job tickets and work orders to the necessary department in a timely manner.
Picks up and delivers cases and installs cases.
Drives company vehicle in a safe manner.
Observes pressure and vacuum gauges and adjusts controls to ensure efficient operation.
Tests joints and connections for gas leaks.
Performs other duties as assigned.
