About The Position

Fortis College in Richmond, Virginia, is seeking an experienced and motivated HVAC/R professional to teach in its HVAC program. The role is a full-time professional faculty position focused primarily on teaching HVAC/R courses. The typical teaching load is three courses per term, with two or three course preparations. The instructor also provides academic advising, assists the program director, and participates in department training, meetings, and graduation.

Requirements

• Completion of an HVAC/R program resulting in a certificate of completion or diploma; an associate degree is preferred but not required.
• EPA Universal certification.
• Virginia Department of Professional & Occupational Regulation (DPOR) Journeyman or Master HVAC credential.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• At least three years of experience as an HVAC/R Technician.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized, motivated, and results-driven.
