About The Position

Savannah Technical College is seeking a full-time Air Conditioning Technology instructor. The instructor teaches students in classroom and laboratory environments, advises students, and performs departmental and school-wide assignments. The position includes a flexible schedule that may include day and evening classes. Salary is commensurate with education and work experience. The position is contingent upon funding and allocation.

Requirements

• Five years of work experience in Air Conditioning Technology, or an associate degree in Air Conditioning Technology and two years of work experience.
• Current EPA Section 608 Certification.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Computer skills.
• Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy appropriate accrediting bodies for assigned courses.
• Candidates must pass a criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

• Teaching experience at a postsecondary institution.

Responsibilities

• Teach classes through lectures, lesson planning, and classroom management.
• Coordinate and perform hands-on work at laboratory sites.
• Advise students and assist with student recruitment and retention.
• Report inventory.
• Participate in school-wide planning.
• Provide registration assistance.
• Work on projects with other instructional areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean of Instruction.
