HVAC/R II Technician
About The Position
The HVAC position is a technician-level position performing general maintenance and repair of the heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration ( HVAC /R) equipment within a variety of campus buildings. This individual is responsible for completing tasks and projects related to the systematic inspection, detection, and correction of early failures of equipment or facilities either before they occur or before they develop into major defects. This position works independently on tasks and performs moderately complex to complex tasks with varying levels of supervision. This position will be expected to interact with students, faculty and staff in a professional manner that enhances work effectiveness for the HVAC crew.
Requirements
- Technician-level experience in HVAC/R maintenance and repair.
- Ability to perform systematic inspection, detection, and correction of equipment failures.
- Ability to work independently and perform moderately complex to complex tasks with varying levels of supervision.
- Professional demeanor for interacting with students, faculty, and staff.
