About The Position

Star Service of Houston is seeking a dynamic and driven Project Manager to lead commercial HVAC installation projects. As a full-service commercial mechanical systems provider, we specialize in design, fabrication, installation, service, and maintenance for HVAC, plumbing, and building automation systems. We are looking for a Project Manager who can lead projects with precision, exceed client expectations, and drive profitability. This role involves managing projects from start to finish, overseeing scope, budget, and scheduling, and working closely with general contractors, engineers, and vendors.

Requirements

3-5 years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial mechanical construction
Strong knowledge of mechanical plans/spec & design/build industry
Exceptional organizational and communication skills
Ability to prioritize and perform under pressure
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
A team-oriented mindset with the ability to make independent decisions

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

Effectively use your knowledge of mechanical plans/spec and design/build to manage commercial HVAC installation projects from start to finish
Oversee project scope, budget, and scheduling to ensure smooth execution
Work closely with general contractors, engineers, and vendors
Handle RFIs, submittals, change proposals, and project schedules
Ensure proper permits are obtained and compliance with all regulations
Optimize cost efficiency by managing materials, purchasing, and vendor returns
Prepare and review monthly Estimated Cost at Completion (ECAC) reports
