About The Position

KCC, a leader in the climate control technology industry, is looking for a HVAC Product Engineer to join our team and help shape the next generation of products. This role combines technical expertise in commercial HVAC system design with hands-on problem-solving. In this position, you will be working independently and collaboratively with a cross-functional team including Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Purchasing who are responsible for the design, support, and manufacturing of commercial HVAC equipment. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent related experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong hands-on/mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent personal interaction skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Working understanding of applicable industry standards (ASHRAE, AHRI, ANSI, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Product Design: Design, analyze, and optimize commercial HVAC systems and components related to assembly, operation, and performance.
  • Product Support: Support Production, Sales, Applications, and Field Support teams in the operation of the product (product life cycle).
  • Develop Solutions: Engage with critical/high priority Engineering projects. Conduct product testing, troubleshooting, and implementation of changes.
  • Engineer to Order: Analyze custom requests and develop unique solutions to customers.
  • Vendor Relations: Collaborate with suppliers/vendors on the design of new and alternative components.
  • Continuous Improvement: Initiate continuous improvements for new and existing products, systems, and methods to improve performance, cost efficiency and reliability.
  • Specification and Regulatory Analysis: Analyze test results and implement appropriate changes to ensure products meet technical and functional requirements.
  • Documentation: Work with Sales, Production, and other engineering staff to help create and maintain sales documentation.
  • Ensure Accuracy: Provide clear, concise, and accurate information to all relevant internal and external customers.
  • Continuous Education: Maintain a working understanding of applicable industry standards (ASHRAE, AHRI, ANSI, etc.).
