About The Position

We are looking for skilled Journeypersons with HVAC Plumbing experience who have worked in residential, light industrial, and/or light/heavy commercial markets to join our team. You will work with advanced heavy commercial and industrial cutting-edge equipment and systems. Requirements

  • Requires Red Seal Journeyperson Plumbing Ticket.
  • 5+ years of residential / light commercial / heavy commercial mechanical troubleshooting experience.
  • Knowledge of, and experience working with boilers over 400,000 BTU.
  • Appropriate licenses to work with boiler and steam operational & service knowledge.
  • Valid class 5 driver's license.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to be on-call as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Class B Gasfitter or Class A Gasfitter Permits/appropriate licensing to work with refrigeration equipment an asset (such as EPA/HRAI Refrigeration Certification).

Responsibilities

  • Perform general building maintenance.
  • Service and install various manufacturers of plumbing mechanical equipment.
  • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
  • Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems.
  • Install, repair and maintain domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors.
  • Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings.
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment.
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
