HVAC Plumbing/Mechanical Service Technician
About The Position
We are looking for skilled Journeypersons with HVAC Plumbing experience who have worked in residential, light industrial, and/or light/heavy commercial markets to join our team. You will work with advanced heavy commercial and industrial cutting-edge equipment and systems. Requirements
- Requires Red Seal Journeyperson Plumbing Ticket.
- 5+ years of residential / light commercial / heavy commercial mechanical troubleshooting experience.
- Knowledge of, and experience working with boilers over 400,000 BTU.
- Appropriate licenses to work with boiler and steam operational & service knowledge.
- Valid class 5 driver's license.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to be on-call as required.
Nice To Haves
- Class B Gasfitter or Class A Gasfitter Permits/appropriate licensing to work with refrigeration equipment an asset (such as EPA/HRAI Refrigeration Certification).
Responsibilities
- Perform general building maintenance.
- Service and install various manufacturers of plumbing mechanical equipment.
- Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
- Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems.
- Install, repair and maintain domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.
- Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors.
- Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings.
- Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment.
- Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
