HVAC OPERATIONS ENGINEER – JLL What this job involves: JLL is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing critical building systems to ensure optimal performance and tenant satisfaction. You will work as part of a dedicated team committed to operational excellence, safety, and delivering superior customer service. This position offers the opportunity to apply your technical skills across diverse building systems while continuing to grow professionally through ongoing training and development.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of related work experience in repair/maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems
  • Commercial HVAC experience required
  • Strong customer service orientation and team-focused mindset
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve building system issues independently
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with all safety procedures
  • Effective communication skills and ability to interact professionally with tenants and team members

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with UPS systems, generators, air or water-cooled chillers, RTUs, and CRAHs
  • Trade school education or college coursework in a related field
  • Universal CFC EPA certification (or willingness to achieve within the first year with JLL assistance)
  • Experience working in a commercial building or facilities management environment
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software

Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned maintenance tasks including painting, pressure washing, maintaining lighting systems (bulbs/ballasts as allowed by licensing requirements), plumbing, UPS systems, HVAC systems, water treatment, locksmith work, and general repairs
  • Support and execute preventative maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and longevity
  • Maintain and complete assigned work order service requests in a timely manner using the CMMS system
  • Troubleshoot building systems to identify issues and implement effective solutions
  • Support on-call or emergency response situations as needed
  • Comply with all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
  • Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
  • Provide strong customer service to tenants and building occupants
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals
  • Complete other projects and tasks as assigned.
