About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Building Engineer with a strong background in industrial HVAC systems to support the operation, maintenance, and performance at an industrial facility in the York, PA area. This role is responsible for ensuring building systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably, with a primary emphasis on HVAC infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a HVAC Technician in an industrial and/or commercial environment
  • Strong hands-on experience with industrial HVAC systems, including troubleshooting and repairs
  • Working knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) and HVAC controls
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
  • EPA certification required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently across multiple sites
  • Valid driver’s license is required
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various conditions (heights, confined spaces, indoor/outdoor environments)
  • Availability to respond to on-call or emergency situations as needed

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of building systems, with a strong focus on industrial HVAC equipment
  • Service, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and related mechanical systems
  • Monitor building automation systems (BAS) and adjust HVAC controls to optimize performance and energy efficiency
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and controls-related HVAC issues
  • Coordinate and support third-party vendors and contractors performing specialized repairs or installations
  • Conduct routine inspections of facilities and building systems to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
  • Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, system performance, and repairs
  • Respond promptly to service requests, equipment alarms, and emergency situations
  • Assist with general building maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and structural systems as needed
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase system reliability and reduce downtime
