About The Position

ControlAir Systems, Inc., a Crete United company, is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician for a full-time, permanent position based in Burlington, Massachusetts, and surrounding areas, with substantial work in the Boston West area. The role involves servicing and repairing commercial heating, ventilation, and cooling equipment, working alongside experienced technicians, and maintaining relationships with repeat customers. The position offers professional growth, hands-on training across a wide range of equipment, advancement opportunities, and a steady weekly schedule typically around 40 hours, with opportunities for overtime. Technicians receive support from dispatchers, a Service Manager, and a Service Director and use a mobile dispatching app to communicate and submit service reports. An on-call rotation occurs every 8–10 weeks.

Requirements

At least 3 years of HVAC service experience.
Valid driver's license.
Valid EPA certificate.
Ability to pass a background check.
Participate in an on-call schedule rotating every 8–10 weeks.

Nice To Haves

Massachusetts Refrigeration License preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Service and repair commercial heating, ventilation, and cooling units, including packaged RTUs, water-source heat pumps, split systems, ductless systems, VRF/VRV systems, makeup air units, and boilers.
Use a mobile dispatching app to submit service reports and communicate with dispatching and management.
Work with the Service Manager and Service Director to develop new skills and improve existing professional skills.
Provide high-quality customer service to building engineers, property managers, and building owners, maintaining positive relationships with regular clients.
Follow company standards for workmanship, customer service, care of company vehicles and equipment, and treatment of fellow employees.
