About The Position
The HVAC Mechanic II performs skilled work in the operation, maintenance, and repair of all types of refrigeration, cooling and heating equipment, and refrigeration, cooling, ventilating, and heating equipment within assigned area. Acts as lead worker. Trains and supervises entry-level Mechanics. Interprets plans and blueprints. Drives from site to site.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Four (4) years of HVAC experience
- EPA Section 608 HVAC Universal Certification
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- At least 19 years of age at time of hire
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Report in compliance with University policies
- Ability to lift, handle and maneuver the tools, materials and supplies of the job
- Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot blueprints, drawings, manuals, maps, schematics, and plans
- Ability to do material takeoffs
- Good people skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Good written and verbal communications skills
- Must successfully pass a post-offer drug screen
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation
