About The Position

This position is one of several HVAC Mechanics serving in the Maintenance Shop within CFMO’s Facility Management Branch. The employee in this position is responsible for heating, ventilating, and air conditioning maintenance tasks in support of Army National Guard facilities in the eastern region of North Carolina, roughly half of our overall building inventory. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits, including paid vacation, paid sick leave, paid holidays, retirement, and health insurance.

Requirements

• High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of progressive experience in the installation, maintenance or repair of air conditioning chillers, air handling, chilled water distribution and control systems including one year at the journey level; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current certification by the Environmental Protection Agency as a Type I, II, III or Universal technician as required by Title 40, Code of Federal Regulations part 82, subpart F.

Nice To Haves

• Experience servicing a variety of air conditioning unit types.
• Experience servicing, repairing, or troubleshooting circuit problems.
• Experience with Electrical System Maintenance and Repair.
