HVAC Maintenance Technician
About The Position
Performs routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HVAC and refrigeration systems. Responds to service calls and conducts assessments to resolve comfort issues. Inspects and replaces faulty or worn parts such as compressors, condensers, valves, thermostats, belts, fans, fuses, coils, filters, and drive assemblies. Tests equipment functionality after repairs. May assist supervisor with complex tasks. Works with completed work checked for adherence to guidelines and quality standards. Provides general maintenance repairs, work orders, and preventative maintenance for the entire campus.
Requirements
- HVAC Certification
- 2 years in HVAC/refrigeration maintenance, repair, installation at a long-term care facility, apartment buildings, OR 4-year Vo-Tech training + 6 months experience; OR equivalent combination.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Knowledge of mechanical aspects of HVAC/refrigeration, electronic/pneumatic controls.
- Skills in care and use of HVAC/refrigeration tools, reading/interpreting blueprints, manuals, schematics.
- Ability to identify HVAC/refrigeration voltage.
- Valid driver’s license.
