About The Position

This position is responsible for proper operation of mechanical systems and equipment. These systems are life support systems or essential utilities, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning, critical and commercial refrigeration, special ventilation hoods, terminal and control equipment, pneumatic, automated building systems and direct digital controls.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED/Equivalent (required)
0 - 1 year commercial/industrial HVAC and Refrigeration (required)
Current Valid Driver’s License must be maintained (required)
Time management skill, able to plan work and priorities.
Must have strong relationship building skills.
Must have strong initiative and be able to gather and analyze information skillfully. Be able to brainstorm alternative resources and directions.
Must be able to break down complex tasks into manageable parts in a systematic, detailed way and considers input from several sources.
Must be detail-oriented and have ability to check own work for accuracy and quality.

Nice To Haves

HVAC apprenticeship or 2 years associates degree (preferred)
1 – 2 years commercial/industrial HVAC and Refrigeration (preferred)
HVAC Journeyman (preferred)
EPA Technician Certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

Monitors, troubleshoots and customizes the HVAC Energy Management System to optimize energy savings.
Completes inspections and repairs of all mechanical and refrigeration equipment according to established procedures, lowering equipment downtime and repair cost utilizing a maintenance schedule.
Completes required documentation in reference to all equipment, mechanical and refrigeration systems as required by federal, state and regulatory agencies.
Assists other skilled workers and performs general maintenance work as needed.
Responsible for corrective and preventive maintenance of all assigned equipment utilizing a data-based work order management system.
Responsible for maintaining parts, materials, and supplies to perform daily job functions.
Complies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all times.
Maintains compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards of conduct.
Performs other duties as assigned.
