About The Position

B&B Cool Air is seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Lead Installer – Residential & Commercial to join our team. This role is responsible for leading and performing the installation of residential and light commercial HVAC systems, ensuring high-quality workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction. The Lead Installer will guide and mentor apprentices/helpers while maintaining efficiency and professionalism on every job site.

Requirements

Minimum 3–5 years of HVAC installation experience, with at least 1–2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
High school diploma or equivalent
EPA Section 608 Certification (Required)
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Strong knowledge of residential and light commercial HVAC systems, controls, and ductwork.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Physically able to lift 50+ lbs., work in confined spaces, and tolerate outdoor/weather conditions.
Willing to undergo a drug test as part of the hiring process.
EPA Universal Certification (Required)
Driver's License (Required)

Nice To Haves

Completion of HVAC trade school or apprenticeship program preferred.
NATE Certification (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Lead the installation of HVAC systems (residential and commercial), including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, thermostats, and ventilation systems.
Oversee and train installation apprentices/helpers to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety standards are met.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications for accurate installation.
Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company installation standards.
Perform start-up, testing, and troubleshooting of newly installed equipment.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including job reports, material usage, and labor hours.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions and concerns on-site.
Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working condition.
Collaborate with dispatch, project managers, and warehouse team to ensure timely and complete job execution.
Promote and maintain a safe work environment at all times.
