About The Position

Universal Technical Institute (UTI) is seeking experienced HVACR professionals to transition into a stable and rewarding career as an instructor. This role offers a better way to utilize your skills without the physical burnout associated with field work, providing predictable daytime schedules, weekends off, and the opportunity to mentor the next generation of technicians. UTI provides fully paid training for those without prior teaching experience.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of practical work experience in the HVACR field.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience to guide beginners.

Nice To Haves

• EPA 608/Universal certification is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Share real-world insights, troubleshooting tips, and industry stories in an engaging, climate-controlled learning environment.
• Guide students through practical demonstrations and diagnostics.
• Collaborate with an education team to keep courses aligned with modern HVACR tech trends and advancements.
• Instill safety procedures and best practices in a secure, well-equipped workshop setting.
