About The Position

With offices in West Chester, Coatesville, and Willow Grove, PA. SSH Facilities has an exciting opportunity for an HVAC Technician. We are hiring an experienced HVAC Installer / Technician with a strong background in ductwork installation, VAV (Variable Air Volume) box setup, piping, air diffuser placement, and electrical wiring. In addition, this position includes installing split systems and package units. Technicians should be comfortable with lifting, rigging, and setting rooftop units with the assistance of cranes or lifts, and completing all associated duct, electrical, and control work. This role involves traveling to various commercial job sites throughout Southeast PA, NJ, DE and MD working both independently and as part of a crew. You will be responsible for installing and supporting systems according to project specifications, blueprints, and mechanical drawings. Majority of the role will completing tenant fit-outs on construction sites working with the Project Manager and General Contractors. A strong work ethic, technical knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve on-site are essential.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in HVAC installation (commercial preferred)
Proficient in ductwork fabrication/installation and VAV systems
Experience with piping (PVC, copper, steel) and wiring HVAC equipment
Ability to read and interpret HVAC blueprints and mechanical drawings
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (company vehicle may be provided depending on role)
Willingness to travel regularly throughout Southeast PA and NJ
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces
Clean driving record, criminal record, and ability to pass a drug screening

Nice To Haves

EPA certification or trade licenses are a plus

Responsibilities

Install and fit ductwork systems (sheet metal, flexible, and spiral)
Mount and connect VAV boxes including control/thermostat wiring and testing
Install split systems, package units, etc
Perform piping installation (refrigerant, condensate, etc.)
Install air diffusers, grilles, registers, and terminal devices
Execute low-voltage wiring for HVAC controls
Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and specifications
Work with project managers and team leads to ensure timely, quality work
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
Perform site visits and travel to various commercial buildings in Southeast PA and NJ
Follow company safety policies and OSHA regulations
Communicate with other trades and site supervisors as needed
