HVAC Installation Technician
About The Position
Vulcan Mechanical Services is a commercial/industrial HVAC company with 30+ years in business, serving Birmingham, Huntsville, Montgomery, and Chattanooga. You will be working on project-based installs of commercial and industrial systems across local job sites in Montgomery, AL. This role is suited for technicians who can install equipment to spec, work independently or with a crew, and consistently deliver clean, professional installs.
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of commercial HVAC installation experience
- Experience installing commercial equipment (large tonnage preferred)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass drug and background screening
Responsibilities
- Install commercial HVAC systems including RTUs, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, VAV systems, and ductwork
- Perform equipment startups and verify proper system operation
- Work with a team to complete installs safely, efficiently, and on schedule
- Follow manufacturer specifications, job plans, and company standards
- Complete basic job documentation and communicate with team members and supervisors
- Maintain a clean and professional job site
- Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures
