About The Position

Bellows Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical is hiring an HVAC Installation Helper for our North Bay team. We serve customers throughout Marin, Sonoma, and Napa counties with residential and light commercial HVAC installation and service work. This role is intended for candidates who already have hands on experience in the trades, construction, mechanical work, or HVAC support roles. We are looking for individuals who are serious about building a long term career in HVAC and who can demonstrate reliability, strong work history, and a willingness to learn in a fast paced environment. As an HVAC Installation Helper at Bellows, you’ll work alongside experienced installers and technicians supporting residential and light commercial heating and cooling installations. You’ll assist with system replacements, ductwork, equipment setup, job site preparation, and other installation support tasks while continuing to develop your HVAC knowledge and field skills. This is a field based position with steady, year round work and opportunities for long term advancement within the company.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in construction, trades, mechanical, automotive, HVAC, or other hands on work environments
  • Reliable transportation and strong attendance habits
  • Professional attitude and willingness to learn from experienced team members
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well with a team
  • Valid California driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Relevant work experience and/or trade education

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC school, trade school, or related field experience strongly preferred
  • Stable work history and strong job tenure preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort using tools and equipment
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment

Responsibilities

  • Assist HVAC installers and technicians on residential and light commercial jobs
  • Help install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and related equipment
  • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment at job sites
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
  • Read plans and follow job specifications with supervision
  • Support troubleshooting and basic service tasks
  • Follow safety procedures and company standards
  • Communicate with team members to keep projects on track
  • Provide professional customer interactions on job sites
