Reporting to the Install Supervisor, the Install Lead is responsible for overseeing and performing the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This position involves ensuring a successful execution of installations, and training the Install Apprentices on their team, as well as maintaining high standards of workmanship.

Requirements

• Minimum 3-year driver’s license with clean abstract
• 2+ years of residential HVAC installation experience
• Problem solving and communication skills
• Customer/member service oriented

Responsibilities

• HVAC Installations
• Installation of residential gas furnaces
• Installation of residential central air conditioning units
• Installation of residential water heating systems
• Review placement of equipment and any preparation required for installation of equipment
• Perform precise and code-compliant installations of HVAC systems.
• Ensure all equipment is properly set up, tested and operational upon completion.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges during installations.
• Explain the installation process to customer and address their questions or concerns.
• Conduct walk throughs with the customer at the beginning and end of each installation appointment and confirm customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness throughout the duration of each appointment.
• Explain operations and service requirements to the homeowner of the equipment installed.
• One time completion: Follow all processes to ensure each installation is completed properly and to code.
• Follow established standard operating procedures (SOP's) for installations.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Provide constructive feedback to improve installation techniques and reduce callbacks.
• Prepare and organize all necessary equipment and materials before arriving at the job site.
• Monitor and report inventory needs or equipment issues.
• Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines without compromising quality.
• Actively participate in the company safety program, ensure job site safety at all times, and maintain cooperation to OH&S guidelines.
• Conduct scheduled vehicle inspections.
• Stay updated on local code and compliance requirements.
• Use tools and equipment responsibly to prevent accidents or damage.
