The HVAC Install Apprentice/Helper position is responsible for delivering exceptional HVAC installation service to customers by completing and installing HVAC equipment and accessories, ensuring all work is performed correctly and reflects Hiller's values.
Requirements
- Prior work experience in the HVAC industry as an HVAC Install Apprentice.
- Possess good analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations.
- Must be able to use a computer tablet, smart phone and read a map or follow GPS.
- EPA Certified or pursuing.
- A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Valid driver’s license, and approved to drive by Company’s insurance carrier.
- Applicants will be required to undergo pre-employment drug screens and background checks.

- HVAC certification or Diploma preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Installation Technician with the installation of HVAC related equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications.
- Support Lead Installer in: Installing HVAC related equipment.
- Support Lead Installer in: Installing Sheet metal duct systems.
- Support Lead Installer in: Connecting gas lines to heating equipment.
- Support Lead Installer in: Cutting and threading pipes.
- Support Lead Installer in: Wiring both line voltage and low voltage to heating equipment.
- Support Lead Installer in: Installing copper refrigerant line to air conditioning units, including soldering and brazing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
