About The Position

Akshar HVAC is seeking a General Manager to drive strategic growth and operational excellence. The role leads business strategy, market expansion, revenue growth, profitability, process improvement, and customer satisfaction, while providing leadership and vision to a team of technicians. The ideal candidate brings extensive residential or commercial plumbing and HVAC experience, preferably having advanced through the industry into management, and combines business and management expertise with knowledge of industry practices, policies, and procedures. The General Manager is responsible for day-to-day company production and operations, including coordination with executive leadership and finance, field operations, safety, project management, on-site progress, and employee retention. The role works with Ownership on company growth plans, reports on operating conditions, and partners with sales, service, installation, and operations leaders to meet company objectives. Requirements

At least 10 years of verifiable full-time management experience in residential or commercial HVAC.
Working knowledge of residential or commercial HVAC methods, techniques, systems, and codes.
Passion for and a successful history of building high-performing teams.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to build consensus and gain buy-in.
Willingness to take on new tasks, with an attitude that tasks can be undertaken and improved regardless of size or difficulty.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
HVAC industry experience required.

Nice To Haves

Professional degree, preferably in Construction Management or equivalent; desired but not required.
Extensive residential or commercial Plumbing & HVAC experience, ideally with career progression into management.

Responsibilities

Direct day-to-day company production, coordinating with executive leadership and finance and overseeing field operations, safety, project management, on-site progress, and employee retention.
Oversee successful execution of all Plumbing & HVAC service.
Provide oversight and accountability to ensure managers stay on track and within budget.
Supervise and mentor the operations team in recruiting, interviewing, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, and disciplining as needed.
Champion the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of organizational management protocols, practices, and tools.
Collaborate with Ownership on long- and short-term company growth plans.
Drive safety, quality, and profitability to meet or exceed company objectives.
Provide Ownership with timely, accurate, and complete reports on the company's operating condition.
Act as a strategic partner on the leadership team and liaison among sales, service, installation, and operations departments.
Work autonomously while meeting and exceeding Ownership's expectations.
Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.
