About The Position

Wood is seeking an expression of interest for an HVAC Maintenance Foreman position that will be responsible for O&M functions on a federal facility maintenance project located in Tulsa, OK. This position requires extensive skill and knowledge in trades such as HVAC, plumbing, general mechanical maintenance procedures, refrigeration, and electricity. The role involves general maintenance oversight of personnel executing maintenance tasks on various equipment, compiling and producing regular maintenance status reports, and meeting with client representatives to ensure facility accessibility and equipment status. The Foreman will establish and oversee work schedules, ensure personnel and material availability, and provide QA checks for task execution. They may also perform or oversee difficult installation tasks, install new or repaired components, perform complex modifications, and maintain/repair specialized equipment. Additionally, the role may involve coordinating or overseeing heating and cooling water treatment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 10 years of experience working on commercial and/or industrial HVAC equipment
  • EPA 608 universal certification for handling refrigerants

Responsibilities

  • O&M functions on a federal facility maintenance project
  • General maintenance oversight of personnel executing maintenance tasks of equipment including air handlers, exhaust fans, pumps, fan coil units, cabinet unit heaters, packaged and split type DX units, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and plumbing fixtures.
  • Compile and produce regular maintenance status reports outlining completed, in progress, and upcoming tasking, as well as any abnormalities from the PM process.
  • Routinely meet with client designated personnel to ensure accessibility to facilities and status of on-site equipment.
  • Establish and oversee schedule of work to ensure availability of personnel and material resources to meet contract requirements.
  • Provide QA checks to ensure that task execution performed by HVAC technicians are completed in a timely manner and consistent with Wood standards.
  • Provide scheduling and escorting of subcontractors, as well as assist HVAC technicians when necessary.
  • Perform and/or oversee difficult installation tasks involving assembly, testing, calibrating, and adjusting of temperature control and environmental control systems.
  • Install new or repaired component and perform complex modifications of systems and components.
  • Maintain and repair specialized equipment such as pneumatic and DDC control components, water treatment systems, process cooling systems, boilers, chillers, and cascade refrigeration systems.
  • Perform or assist in complex repair of systems component such as compressors, condensers, heat pumps regulators, fluid and refrigerant gas lines valves, meters, gages, thermostats, pumps, mechanical linkage, and electrical sensing, switching and controlling devices.
  • Coordinate and/or oversee heating and cooling water treatment checking for target pH and chemical concentration levels and makes adjustments to treatment chemical level as required.
