About The Position

Duke Regional Hospital is seeking an HVAC Foreman to supervise and participate in the installation, maintenance, modification, overhaul, service, and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment. This role is crucial for ensuring the proper functioning of the hospital's essential systems. The position is primarily Monday-Friday, with occasional evening or weekend work and participation in a rotating on-call schedule.

Requirements

• High school diploma plus 2 years of technical training in refrigeration, heating, and air handling principles.
• EPA CFC certification.
• 2 years of journeyman's experience in the installation, maintenance, and/or repair of air conditioning, air handling, chilled water distribution systems, and controls.
• Experience working from blueprints, schematics, designs, and/or sketches.
• Equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and participate in the installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
• Ensure work performed complies with blueprints, manufacturer specifications, and instructions.
• Plan, schedule, and assign work to ensure proper distribution, adequate staffing, and efficient performance.
• Make material take-offs, submit requisitions, and interface with local vendors and contractors.
• Prepare reports and analyses on project progress, trends, and recommendations.
• Establish and/or assist in establishing preventive maintenance programs for HVAC systems.
• Provide training and instruction to personnel on HVAC maintenance activities.
• Supervise and/or assist in personnel actions including hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, and scheduling time off.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described.
