HVAC Estimator
About The Position
Hoffman & Hoffman, Inc. is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual to join their team as an HVAC Estimator. The ideal candidate will excel in challenging environments, effectively utilize available resources, possess a strong attention to detail, and be willing to assist the sales team. Hoffman & Hoffman has been a trusted provider of commercial HVAC equipment and control systems in the Southeast region since 1947, focusing on delivering high-quality, innovative solutions to improve indoor air quality, optimize building efficiency, and enhance occupant comfort. Requirements
- 2 or more years’ experience in the HVAC industry
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role (Inside Sales/Account Executive/Product Management)
- Highly developed interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
- Strong time management skills
- Sincere desire to help others.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a team with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
- Must possess a personal need to consistently produce accurate and thorough results.
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- Proven problem solving, leadership and listening skills.
- Product and vendor knowledge (or the ability to quickly learn it)
- Strong technical aptitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Review plans and specifications.
- Prepare accurate and competitive quotes.
- Provide pricing and product information to customers.
- Collaborate with sales team and manufacturers.
- Use web-based manufacturer selection tools.
- Perform preliminary take-offs on upcoming jobs.
- Work closely with manufacturers to resolve issues.
