About The Position

Johnson Controls, a leading Building Technology OEM for Healthcare, Manufacturing, Higher Education, K12, and Commercial Real Estate, is seeking skilled HVAC Tradesmen to join their growing business. This role offers the opportunity to service and maintain advanced heavy commercial and industrial equipment, learn from top HVAC teams, and gain factory certification through the Service Technical Academy (STA). The position involves acting as a trusted advisor to customers, solving comfort and building inefficiency issues, and performing mechanical installations under the guidance of experienced professionals.

Requirements

• Adherence to the company Safety Program.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with HVAC equipment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• A valid driver’s license, with no major or frequent traffic violations.
• Willingness to join the UA of Plumbers and Pipefitters.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical installations as assigned by the Employer, limited only by their capabilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to HVAC equipment.
• Respond to basic warranty calls.
• Keep JCI, contractors, and the customer informed of job progress and issues.
• Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility efficiency, including identifying upselling opportunities.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
