About The Position

We are seeking a HVAC/Equipment & Electrical Team Lead who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memories worth repeating while bringing families closer together while caring deeply about our brand. The ideal HVAC/Equipment & Electrical Team Lead will be equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator. The HVAC/Equipment & Electrical Team Lead oversees the day-to-day operation and job distribution for maintenance of Dollywood Company assets and infrastructure in compliance with state and federal regulations, and company policies and procedures. This role exists to perform skilled mechanical maintenance duties in the inspection, repair, installation and alteration of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems and related equipment and facilities located throughout the Dollywood Company properties. All of this will be done in a manner consistent with the mission, values and operating philosophies and standards of the Dollywood Company. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be a Certified HVAC Technician
  • Must have documented Electrical experience
  • Minimum of 3 years’ documentable HVAC journeyman level operation, maintenance and repair experience in the HVAC and refrigeration trade
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ Leadership level experience with demonstrated servant leadership skills including motivating, coaching, counseling, leveling, conducting disciplinary actions, and providing positive feedback
  • Basic computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Ability to safely operate company vehicles according to company policy. Must have valid driver’s license, proof of auto liability insurance and acceptable motor vehicle driving record
  • Offers of employment are contingent upon satisfactory completion of background screening which includes criminal history and motor vehicle record check

Responsibilities

  • Leads, guides, and/or trains other HVAC/Equipment/Electrical technicians and trade helpers in applicable procedures and techniques; and initiates corrective actions to secure satisfactory standards and timely project completion
  • Develops plans and estimates for HVAC/Equipment/Electrical projects; includes determining time, equipment, and human and material resources needed to complete the work
  • Prepares written reports on ongoing projects and on the condition of machinery
  • Coordinates work functions with co-workers and other organizational departments
  • Maintains records on equipment status and work completed and parts used
  • Assists in the development and carryout of daily tasks, assignments, along with communicating with internal hosts on work order status. Monitors quality, completion and accountability for the Facilities Maintenance HVAC/Equipment/Electrical team
  • Assists in the evaluation, planning and facilitation of capital needs across all Dollywood Company properties
  • Assists in the planning and completion of the annual budget for Facilities Maintenance
  • Oversees and ensures appropriate maintenance for all buildings, walkways/hardscapes, fences, signage, and related utility infrastructure outside of day-to-day operating needs. This may include capital improvement projects or individual/one-off projects
  • Ensures all HVAC/Equipment/Electrical work conforms to all applicable rules, regulations and codes
  • Ensures all work is tracked and documented in the Dollywood Company work order systems
  • Implements and monitors compliance with the Dollywood Company Safety Program and procedures
  • Ensures training of new and returning hosts, resulting in understanding and compliance to their safety responsibilities and the Dollywood Company Safety Program
  • Assessment and timely response to improve employee morale when there is noted decline
  • Works in direct contact with the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor of Operations and ensure timely completion and support of projects as needed
  • Demonstrates Servant Leadership/Lead with Love style through verbal and written communications, and through personal actions that communicate I am a positive team member who cares for and supports Dollywood Company hosts
  • Recognizes and resolve conflicts in a timely manner
  • Ensures a positive working relationship with our customers (the Dollywood Company operating teams), other support teams and our Guests
  • Monitors operations and resolve problems
  • Performs additional duties and makes decisions as requested by senior management
  • Encourages and promotes teamwork
  • Trains and ensures that staff comply with Accounting Procedures
  • Acts as a respected professional, representing the Dollywood Company on approved committees and/or boards
  • Delegates work tasks evenly & effectively across their respective teams and strive to keep work order volume at an acceptable volume by effectively distributing work orders immediately once received & ensuring work orders are closed immediately with detailed notes on repairs performed
