About The Position

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Controls Technician for our location in Chesapeake, VA. This role involves the installation, troubleshooting, repair, startup, commissioning, and servicing of HVAC control systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of various HVAC components and commissioning protocols, and will work closely with installation and startup teams. This position also includes performing preventative maintenance, replacements, and modifications, and requires effective communication with building owners.

Requirements

Prior experience as an HVAC/Controls Technician or similar position.
Well versed in installations, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC control systems and equipment.
Knowledge of HVAC VRF system service and service installations.
Extensive knowledge in chiller plants, boilers, air handlers, VAV’s, and rooftop units.
Strong understanding of commissioning protocols and point-to-point check outs.

Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC control systems and equipment.
Perform startup, commissioning, and servicing of air conditioning equipment.
Service and install HVAC VRF systems.
Service chiller plants, boilers, air handlers, VAV’s, and rooftop units.
Perform commissioning protocols and point-to-point checkouts.
Work closely with controls installations and startup/termination of equipment and programs.
Perform preventative maintenance, replacements, and modifications.
Communicate efficiently with building owners.
