This role is responsible for leading assigned field technicians while also contributing directly to HVAC controls service work. You will help plan and coordinate service activities, support troubleshooting and commissioning, and ensure customer sites are serviced safely, accurately, and on time.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6-10 years of experience in BMS, HVAC controls, installation, commissioning, service, or troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with controller programming, sensor and actuator calibration, and onsite system verification.
  • Working knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks.
  • Experience commissioning HVAC equipment such as chillers, AHUs, FCUs, cooling towers, pumps, and VAV systems.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, service documentation, and handover records accurately.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to coordinate technicians, customers, consultants, and contractors in a field service environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 2-3 years of team handling or supervisory experience.
  • Experience mentoring service engineers or technicians in the field.
  • Exposure to bid and estimate review, workforce planning, or performance review activities.
  • PLC or SCADA knowledge.
  • Experience with third-party software integration and system handover documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support assigned field technicians through day-to-day service execution and on-site coordination.
  • Plan monthly routes and balance workload, service demand, and customer priorities.
  • Perform and oversee commissioning, servicing, troubleshooting, and replacement work on BMS and HVAC control systems.
  • Support installation, integration, and programming of controllers, sensors, actuators, and related field devices.
  • Carry out system verification, point-to-point checks, functional testing, calibration, backups, and service reporting.
  • Support integration activities using BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, and other connected control environments.
  • Review serviced account needs, customer feedback, and operational performance to improve delivery and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and other internal teams to support service growth, staffing needs, and escalation handling.
  • Coach, develop, and support technicians while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.
  • Contribute to bid, estimate, and operational review activities when required.
