This role is responsible for supporting the sale of City Multi equipment by supporting the regional sales team, distribution, and customers with the application and sales of METUS Controls within the METUS Business Unit. The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to, supporting METUS Commercial/Residential Equipment Sales teams in qualifying opportunities & presenting solutions to customers requiring advanced or standard controls solutions. It also involves building relationships within the Architect, Engineer, & Contractor community to promote METUS offerings, define project scope, package solutions and other METUS offerings to create competitive advantages, and review final proposal. The role leads the development of market strategy for controls and is responsible for implementing strategy with other Business Unit team members. It also involves building close working relationships with all distribution channels to grow market awareness of all METUS offerings and assisting distribution in the application and sales of all offerings through pre and post-sales support. The position is responsible for project proposals on an as-needed basis for advanced controls and support, and collaborates with the Controls Applications Team to develop project scope of work, estimates and proposals. Additionally, it involves developing and maintaining standards & best practices for applications design and support of advanced controls with the Business Unit Team and Controls Applications Team, and supporting the Controls Applications team with proposals and project turnover on an as needed basis. The role leads the creation and implementation of applications-based training for field sales, HVAC specifiers and design professionals, building owners and developers, and distributors. Training includes knowledge transfer of existing product/applications and introduction of new products/applications. The role also involves creating and reviewing technical documentation and collateral, including application notes, I&O manuals, schematic drawings, submittals, engineering data, and white papers. Finally, it provides Tier 2 level customer support for distributors, owners, design professionals, and contractors for application and technical support. Willingness to travel up to 50% within territory for customer meetings and to various Company meetings is required. Other duties as assigned.
