Requirements

  • At least 3 years of real-world experience installing and commissioning Johnson Controls Metasys systems, including system-level controllers.
  • Confident user of Metasys Tools like RAC Schedule, CCT, SCT, and Visio.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • Strong technical aptitude with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and learning new technologies.
  • Advanced computer skills, especially with drafting tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, Computer Science—or equivalent field experience.
  • 5+ years in the HVAC industry.
  • Proven track record installing and commissioning control systems.
  • Background in designing or analyzing mechanical/electrical building systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design flow diagrams, network layouts, and electrical schematics using standard libraries.
  • Code custom HVAC control software using proven design standards.
  • Coordinate detailed drawings and equipment schedules for submittals.
  • Select, order, and manage materials, and align with factory-mounting timelines.
  • Collaborate during installation to validate full system functionality, troubleshoot roadblocks, and deliver seamless operation.
  • Capture field updates, revise system documentation, and prepare comprehensive operation manuals.
  • Keep stakeholders informed on progress and provide site-specific training to operators.
  • Record time sheets and expenses with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Uphold high safety standards.
