Requirements

  • At least 3 years of real-world experience installing and commissioning Johnson Controls Metasys systems, including system-level controllers.
  • Confident user of Metasys Tools like RAC Schedule, CCT, SCT, and Visio.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • Strong technical aptitude with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and learning new technologies.
  • Advanced computer skills, especially with drafting tools, to translate vision into design.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, Computer Science—or equivalent field experience.
  • 5+ years in the HVAC industry
  • Proven track record installing and commissioning control systems
  • Background in designing or analyzing mechanical/electrical building systems

Responsibilities

  • Design hardware and develop software that aligns perfectly with project goals.
  • Draw from our standard library to create flow diagrams, network layouts, and electrical schematics that breathe life into projects.
  • Code custom HVAC control software using proven design standards, ensuring peak performance and reliability.
  • Coordinate detailed drawings and equipment schedules for submittals that make your vision crystal-clear.
  • Select, order, and manage materials, and align with factory-mounting timelines to keep every project humming smoothly.
  • Collaborate during installation to validate full system functionality, troubleshoot roadblocks, and deliver seamless operation.
  • Capture field updates, revise system documentation, and prepare comprehensive operation manuals.
  • Keep stakeholders in the loop on progress and provide site-specific training to operators who will rely on your work every day.
  • Record everything from time sheets to expenses with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Uphold high safety standards—for yourself, your team, and everyone on-site.
