GDI Ainsworth is seeking an HVAC Apprentice, 1st - 5th year, to join their team. This role involves assisting Journeyman technicians in the overhaul and servicing of HVAC/R units and systems. Requirements

Currently enrolled in, or have you completed, an HVAC/R apprenticeship program in Ontario
Basic understanding of Mechanical Installation and repairs.
Valid Ontario Drivers License.
Excellent Math and problem solving skills.
Ability to work alone and in a team environment.
Must be able to lift heavy materials, tools and equipment when required.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment for commercial customers.
Installation of HVAC/R-related equipment and components.
Assist Journeyman technicians in the overhaul and servicing of HVAC/R units and systems.
Perform maintenance and repair on refrigeration equipment and systems.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety, and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations.
Contribute to the ongoing training and mentoring of indentured apprentices.
Adhere to the Company’s Quality System operating procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
