About The Position

The HVAC Apprentice performs entry-level HVAC installation, maintenance, and service support under the direction of senior technicians. This role assists with commercial HVAC and refrigeration work while developing the skills required to advance into a technician-level position. The apprentice is expected to maintain a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to learning in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability
Basic math and communication skills
Willingness to learn and develop technical skills

Nice To Haves

Enrollment in or completion of HVAC trade school or technical program preferred
EPA certification or willingness to obtain when eligible
Basic understanding of HVAC systems and tools
Construction or mechanical experience preferred
Interest in long-term HVAC career development

Responsibilities

Assist senior technicians with installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration systems
Load, unload, and transport tools, materials, and equipment
Assist in positioning, securing, and installing HVAC equipment
Use hand and power tools as directed
Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
Follow safety procedures and proper PPE usage at all times
Participate in on-the-job training and technical education programs
Develop foundational HVAC skills for advancement to technician level
Support general jobsite labor and daily operational needs
