About The Position

Monarch Investment and Management Group is hiring an on-site, full-time HVAC Maintenance Technician at Timber Ridge Apartments in Abilene, Texas. The position pays $26.00–$28.00 per hour and follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with an on-call rotation of one week every three weeks. The role maintains HVAC systems and apartment units, completes work orders, helps prepare units between tenants, and supports a 24/7 emergency on-call system. A physical demonstration of basic job duties is required during the interview process. Pre-employment screening includes a criminal background check and drug screening.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
HVAC experience required.
EPA certification required.
Basic knowledge of drywall and experience with painting and carpentry.
Light plumbing and electrical experience.
Working knowledge of appliances, including washers and dryers.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to demonstrate basic job duties during the interview process.
Successful completion of pre-employment criminal background and drug screenings.

Nice To Haves

Three or more years of maintenance-field experience.
CPO certification.
Boiler experience.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and install HVAC units.
Complete work orders promptly according to priority.
Perform additional property and apartment repairs involving plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and drywall.
Turn over and prepare units between tenant occupancy.
Assist with assigned preventative maintenance.
Assist with coverage of a 24/7 emergency on-call system.
