HVAC and Facilities Maintenance Technician

Essential Employment Services•Tucson, AZ

About The Position

Essential Employment Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced, versatile HVAC and Facilities Maintenance Technician to join its Facilities Department. The technician will serve as the department’s primary in-house HVAC specialist while also participating in general facilities maintenance, repairs, renovations, installations, and improvement projects across multiple trades. HVAC is the primary area of expertise, but the role is not limited to HVAC work; the technician is expected to support the broader Facilities Team when HVAC work is not scheduled or other operational priorities require assistance. The Facilities Department supports commercial, retail, warehouse, cultivation, and production facilities in Arizona and other states. The role requires ongoing nationwide travel, including trips of approximately one week and occasional longer assignments, as well as flexibility for changing schedules and occasional emergency assignments. The technician will perform maintenance, inspections, equipment assessments, repairs, replacements, and facility projects at company locations, independently or with other team members. The position is intended to strengthen in-house technical capabilities, improve equipment reliability, reduce unnecessary reliance on outside contractors, and support efficient operations across company locations. The technician will document work and maintenance findings using FMX or related facilities management software, communicate status and recommendations to the Facilities Director, and follow applicable safety procedures and equipment requirements. Duties may be reassigned as business needs require.
