About The Position

The Human Trafficking Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and conducting outreach in designated hot spots for human trafficking. This role involves encountering and engaging potential victims, conducting assessments, and providing appropriate victim services. The coordinator also collaborates with the Navigator Program to refer individuals who are not victims of human trafficking for assistance. This position requires both administrative and field-oriented responsibilities. The schedule is subject to change based on program/department needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Two years of experience in a human services field.
  • Experience working with trauma-informed care and/or victims of human trafficking.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Good organization skills.
  • Functioning knowledge of computer software, specifically Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word).
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet agency standards.

  • Five years of experience in a human services field.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and conduct outreach in areas designated as hot spots for human trafficking.
  • Encounter and engage potential victims of human trafficking.
  • Conduct assessments and provide appropriate victim services.
  • Work with the Navigator Program to refer individuals who are not HT victims for assistance.
  • Interact professionally with clients, staff, and community members.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, conferences, and training sessions.
  • Maintain client and staff confidentiality.
  • Identify and respond to potential outreach and HT related training needs.
  • Act as a liaison between the program and the community, including community partners.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and collect data in the Give Hope Database.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with funding and partnering agencies.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with community resources, elected officials, law enforcement, and civic/religious associations.
  • Identify and present matters requiring decisions to the Regional IMPACT Director.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops.
  • Plan and present planning information sessions/community forums three times per year.
  • Oversee HT Specialists.
  • Maintain accurate statistical reporting and client assistance budgetary responsibilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
