The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a Human Services Enforcement Agent to perform investigative and protective services work. This role involves locating non-custodial parents, establishing, enforcing, and collecting child support obligations, and establishing the paternity of children born out of wedlock. The position is with the Office for Family Independence, Division of Support Enforcement & Recovery (DSER), which is responsible for ensuring non-custodial parents contribute to their children's financial support. This role requires initiating administrative collection actions, appropriate court actions, and representing the Department's interests in Maine District Court. The position allows for partial telework after the initial training period, with management approval. Occasional travel is also required.
