Human Services Caseworker Supervisor (Long-Term Care)
About The Position
New Hanover County is seeking a detail oriented, customer focused Long-Term Care Caseworker Supervisor in the Department of Social Services. Responsibilities will include supervising a unit of caseworkers responsible for determining Long-Term Care, Special Assistance, Special Assistance In-home, PACE, CAP and eligibility for benefits of various community resource programs; assigning and monitoring work; training new and ongoing workers; interpreting program policies; reviewing cases for accuracy; responding to complaints and inquiries; evaluating policies and procedures with state and county representatives; preparing reports; and evaluating unit needs for budget purposes. The Social Services department is comprised of a team of dedicated professionals seeking to serve the citizens of our county through providing essential human services. Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) years of universal, economic services or income maintenance caseworker experience
- An equivalent combination of training and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the specific position

- NC FAST proficiency
- Previous supervisory experience
- Bilingual candidates are eligible for a differential (5%) when performing Spanish language interpretation during the course of work.
